Time to Heal

(Neptune retrogrades in Pisces, Full Moon in Capricorn.)

There’s a healing going on.

Whatever that’s in front of you right now is there to give you an opportunity to address something as yet unhealed, i.e., excluded from your acceptance, love, and understanding.

It will never stop vying for your attention. Like a check engine light in a car, we are wise to see the auto mechanic right away. If you ignore it — the options these days are plenty to do so — the issue grows stronger, gets louder, more unruly, more forcefully pleading for your attention.

This is when we pull over, ideally.

Further avoidance results in the last strategy: accident, injury, illness, something that will give you no option other than to face it. And even still, your free will is respected — you can go the victim route and absolve yourself of all accountability. Ad infinitum.

In so many ways, we ride on a Merry-go-Round, deluded by the rising and setting of the Sun and the constant rising and falling of experience.

When we start getting hip to this, it becomes frustrating. We want out. Round and round we go, while going absolutely nowhere. Trapped in experience. Trapped in illusion.

This is a beautiful point of awakening to the truth. Difficult, no doubt but beautiful.

It is at this point that we get to make a choice: stay on the ride and endure the constant see-sawing of emotions, or hop off and become one.

The word enlightenment has much more to do with the concept of weight and ballast — removing both and becoming light, slim, slender, quiet, and flexible. Not physically. Deep towards the core of the fabric of who and what you are.

Whatever is in front of you, is pointing you there. It feels like a mosquito, and we treat it as such… to our own loss.

It takes discomfort to disrupt regularly scheduled programming. Trust this author: we want to disrupt regularly scheduled programming.

You start by asking questions. Getting curious. Observing patterns. Wow, I keep attracting the same difficult partner over and over again. Eventually, investigating solutions: professional counseling, self-help, yoga, meditation, energetic modalities, shamanic practices, and the list goes on.

All these things will help to heal the unhealed and integrate it back into yourself, where it belongs.

You’ve got to want it though. It doesn’t happen on its own. You can start this process now or wait until you really have no choice. Either way will get you there, but time is running out.
