Odd Means

There are a wide variety of means employed to assist the seeker after truth realize his or her goal.

Frustration is one of the chief catalyzers of that epic journey. I am fed up. And so new solutions to resolve the dilemma are experimented with.

Since so much of the journey is defined by letting go, removal, shedding, burning away and all their many corollaries, you could say that the journey towards truth is somewhat of a regressive journey — a journey of returning to a land left behind and forgotten.

Healing becomes the chief operating force in your life and so medicines of one form or another. Yoga. Meditation. Energetic practices. Contemplation. Ceremony. Service.

The practice of these things will take you far — but not far enough.

There comes a time for those who wish to go all the way to let go, even, of conscious practice and to let practice take hold of you.

It’s necessary because you don’t know the way — nobody does.

But something does indeed know the way. It… is invisible. It… is sensed.
It.. is listened to.

It… is something that will move through and direct you, if you let it.

The catch is that you must be prepared, or at least ready for what may come your way, when you submit to such unconscious (read supraconscious) direction.

You will repeatedly meet the unexpected and undesired. What is unexpected and undesired is usually feared, and wished away.

How else to grow? How else to take the most vital steps towards the goal?
