You Are Not Alone

As with everything else, you are both in and out of control — at the same time.

Where am I? Who am I? What am I doing here? How did I get here?

Few among us can answer these.

And yet, here we are. Living on an unstable rock in the middle of a mysterious universe, in a physical vehicle with vast intelligence, and participating in a human experience shared by many billions of others.

Do you remember agreeing to any of this?

The conscious mind is bound to answer no. You just showed up, perhaps, you might feel, against your will.

So being, we constantly feel out of control and afraid, and adopt an array of coping strategies to feel in control and OK.

Search your heart. In a silent and still moment, ask yourself, “Do I remember agreeing to participate in this experience?”

You are bound to answer in the affirmative. There is much you know without knowing — including all of the vexing questions above.

If you knew what you don’t know (that you do, in fact, know) — that would really ruin the “fun” of being here and completely render useless the purpose for which you came.

How can you learn if you are not given the opportunity to problem solve?

In times of great struggle and difficulty, we are wise to pause to remember the truth.

You matter. Your needs are known. You are not alone. And there is an array of both seen and unseen forces supporting you — at all times.
