The Noise Machine
The thinking mind, no more or less than a noise machine, so deeply embedded in our nervous systems, and so utterly nurtured by the world around us, we mistake it for what it really is. A noise machine.
Scan your life. Is it not that the most meaningful experiences and serendipitous encounters happened outside of thought — i.e., without any engineering of your own device? It is always like that.
The mind’s understanding runs less than skin deep. It is worrisome and warlike by nature, constantly plotting and planning trying to get what it thinks it needs.
Do you know what is best for you? Consider the question for a moment, and consider the life scan of your most meaningful and serendipitous experiences.
Your mind or “the mind,” as it certainly does not belong to you, has no idea what is best. Mistakenly empowered, it becomes like an ill-trained pilot, trying to cross the Atlantic Ocean without a map.
Chaos is the result. In our personal lives, and in the world — as the world is almost entirely mind controlled, or ruled by the mind.
We think it knows best. We believe its thoughts. False identities form around thought clusters. Suffering is the result to point us back in the right direction.
The true and rightful ruler of Self is not the thinking mind but the Knowing Heart.
It moves you. Effortlessly. Points you in the right direction. Gives you clues. Speaks to you, silently but with unmistakable clarity. Its nature is peaceful, calm, and graceful. And most of all, it knows what is best for your personal human journey.
We must dis-integrate from the thinking mind. Put it in its place, as a handy pocket calculator.
The process begins with awareness, born of suffering and pain. Then, practice. Serious practice.
The mind will not go easily into the night. Its grip is that firm, its will to rule that strong.
However, compared to the Knowing Heart of the Supreme Self, it is laughably outmatched.
Dis-integrate, my friends, and let the glory and wonder of your true essence shine forth. Miracles and magic await.

As always: take what is useful for your current set of circumstances and human journey, and leave the rest behind.
