Comfort is a Trap
The road to the Kingdom of Heaven — self-realization — is paved with nails.
Its promise and luminosity pulls like a moth to a flame. To a flame.
To occupy this beautiful space, everything and anything that is not Light must and will be purified.
That’s what the nails are for. In the form of adversity, difficult circumstances, and burdens of all sorts.
They reduce the I. They humble. They increase the Compassion Quotient. And they remove all the pettiness of the ego and, finally, the ego itself.
This process is difficult and painful right until the very end, and is why so few choose to take such a path.
However, no other path will scratch the itch. Eventually, we make the turn.
Breaks will be given, pauses, and respite. And then back to the grind. Just like ocean waves.
Keep walking, that’s the main thing. It doesn’t have to be pretty. Just keep walking, as if you were after water in an endless desert landscape.
Comfort is a trap.
Discomfort leads to liberation.
