What is struggle?

It’s the knife sharpening against the grinding stone. If you choose to look at it that way.

What is the value of struggle? Learning.

And the value of learning? Character refinement.

And the value of that? Fates that point in the direction of happiness, love, and service.

It helps to know the trajectory when unfavorable or unwelcome circumstances are visited upon you. Otherwise, we can get really lost and hopeless.

You come, stay for awhile, and then fade away — like everything else. Similarly, your struggle will not last forever.

Why not learn something from it? Use it as a catapault. See the gift of it.

It’s the hard thing to do. But you already know that the hard things are what pay the most dividends over the long run.

The easy way out is the easy way out. Little is gained in character. Just topical, temporary relief.

Breathe deeply. Every so often ask inside, “What am I learning"?” “What is being shown to me?” Take note of the answers that come.

You’d be surprised at the perfection of the choreography of your life. It’s a miracle.
