Being in between an old way of life and a new, emerging way surface a broad array of emotional content that can fluctuate hour-by-hour, day-by-day, until all loose ends are tied up and we are firmly planted in the new.

We know we are “there,” but we’re not quite there yet. That’s frustrating. But, wait! We’re getting there! That’s exciting!

And so we swing like a pendulum. It’s natural. Human. And something everybody experiences every so often.

The moment invites us to reflect on where we came from, what we learned, and see how much we’ve grown. It further invites us to intend, plant seeds, and vision for how we plan to be in the coming new.

In fact, the in between state is an enviable, beautiful space to land in — difficult though it is to occupy. It is when we are closest to truth, our hearts, and the subtle forces of nature.

Be gentle with yourself.

You can’t speed the process up, nor can you slow it down. It has its own rhythm. Intrepid journeyer that you are, you simply keep walking, and walking, and walking.

Your heart has always known the way, and is getting you there.
