When the time comes, you are not going to be concerned with any of the following:

Your to-do list
The daily news
The latest online TV episode, podcast, etc.
What you own
How you look
The future
Your social status
The amount of followers you have (and likes, etc.)
What you have achieved, and the list goes on…

What will be of concern is whether you:

Loved, and let love in
Took the time to get to know people and their struggles
Gave for the purpose of giving
Honored what you were given
Acted on your dream, which means to live your truth
Made the world a little bit better than how you found it
Invested in the first list above and sacrificed this one

Primarily though, it’s whether you loved, which is to say, putting your personal wants and desires aside, opening your heart — and dealing with fear of doing so — to create meaningful, human connection for its own sake.

It’s not hard to do and each day we are given hundreds of opportunites, large and small, to love.

Have pen and paper ready. Read this passage once. Then read it again, a little more slowly. Pause. Reflect. Journal any connections or intentions that come to you. Come back a few days later, and read again. Repeat for a few more times.
