As we embark on this new year journey that is going to be filled with action-packed change, one of the best questions to ask yourself is, “Where do I want to direct my creative energy?”

Where do I want to direct my creative energy?

We’ve been bamboozled for decades, if not centuries and millennia. Taught to live out the dreams of others and to wittingly or not, stifle our own.

Where will you direct your creative energy, now that you have far greater range of motion to do so? It is your choice to make and yours alone.

Of all the choices though, love is the highest and, perhaps, most indicated right now.

That means to cultivate generosity. Forge meaningful relationships and not just with those you naturally click with.

Create your art. Share it. Take care of your physical vehicle — avoid the poisons of the world.

Make your own news. Learn to do things again just because, as children do.

Find yourself getting into the flow. It’s been there the whole time.

It’s time to let go and keep letting go of what was. Of getting ahead. Of proving yourself right and another wrong.

We all share 99.99% genetic equivalency. We breathe the same air. Bleed red.

Our commonalities far outweigh our differences. Why, then, do we keep focusing on what separates us? Why do we keep listening to those who tell us that one party is good and the other bad?

It’s time to listen to yourself. It’s time to forge your own sense of self-sovereignty and boost your immunity to anyone and anything that would have you play it small.

It’s time for bold action, grounded in truth. The soil is ripe for change. You can be a part of it.

It’s a new habit that needs to be built. Keep checking-in. Where am I directing my creative energy? And, are you even directing it? It was given to you for a reason — to be used, ideally, for beauty.

Try to see the innocence in your worst enemy. Almost always they were victims of perpetration, repeating a generational cycle of pain.

There are 1,000 ways to be the self-sovereign author of your life.
